Volume to weight ratio and value
The taxable weight of a shipment can be the real weight or the volume weight (the higher one).
In order to calculate the volume to weight ratio please consider the following table:

An example for air shipment:

| Measures | 3 pkgs – 100 x 72 x 120 cm (each) |
| Calculation | 100 x 72 x 120 = 864.00 864.00 x 3 (nr of packages) = 2592.00 2592.00 / 6000 = 432kg Weight to volume = 432kg |
The cost of this air shipment has to be calculated on the taxable weight kg 432 (and not on the real weight 100 Kg).
